This is a relatively new journal, a replacement for my old one,
kairotique. It just felt like time for a change. A philosophical break. In this one, I've discovered the magic of filters. Still trying to sort myself out. I'm a bit of a hermit, and sometimes I fear I dance a bit too close to that old joke about the philosopher who locked himself in a closet for 10 years to contemplate the question "What is life?" At the same time, I've done a lot of traveling and a whole lot of identity deconstruction/reconstruction. I think I just live a little too much in my head, despite my relatively vast amounts of life experience for someone my age.
I like systems. I absolutely devour information and become unreasonably obsessed with perfecting skillsets. I have an obsession with fitting every field and theory into other fields and theories and interpreting everything according to everything else. I also have very little that resembles a normal cohesive external identity, and it causes no end of trouble for me when I try to express myself in writing, so forgive my awkwardness and seeming shifts.
I just graduated college as a triple major in Linguistics, Philosophy, and Systems Logic (a combination of mathematics, programming, and some very specific physics,) which I did while also working as the head field tech at my school... It took me awhile to decide what I was doing for grad school, but I think I've settled on philosophy (specifically as regards religion and cultural theory) and I'm currently looking for good programs. I guess the interests listed below give as good a cross-section of me as possible. I speak many languages at once, read between the lines. ;)
I suppose you should expect this journal to be personal updates and vague musings and ideas. Maybe some safe analytics, or some conclusions once I've come to whatever passes for conclusions in my mind. On the deeper filters, I'll go into theory and some deep psychology.
The journal is friends-locked, but only because I'm vaguely worried about things like future employers or other things that might complicate my life in unpleasant ways. If you want to friend me, go ahead, and I'll almost always add you back.
